Research that ends with an answer, not forty open tabs.
Ask in plain English. Miss Lucy works across the bare acts, case law and the open web, shows you what she is doing as she goes, and hands back a written answer with citations you can check.
What she does
- Researches across the bare acts, the Constitution, gazette notifications, and Supreme Court and High Court judgments. One conversation, not five tools.
- Searches case law by the rule, so you get the rule and the cases that settle it, not a list of keyword hits.
- Searches the open web when the answer isn’t in the case books. Recent circulars, news, government pages. She tells you what is settled and what is not.
- Shows her working as she goes, so you can follow how she got there, and gives you the citation behind each authority so you can check it before you rely on it.
How it works
- 1
Ask the way you'd ask a junior
No boolean strings, no field codes. Describe the problem and the facts. She asks a question back if she needs one.
- 2
She plans and searches across sources
Bare acts, articles of the Constitution, judgments and the web. She decides what to pull, pulls it, and says what she is doing as she works.
- 3
She works in the open
You watch her reasoning build up: the issues, the authorities, how they fit your facts. You are not handed a paragraph with no working behind it.
- 4
You get a written answer with citations you can check
A clear write-up, the cases and sections behind it, and the paragraph numbers. Fabricated citations are blocked before they ever appear.
“Can a cheque-bounce complaint survive if the demand notice went to an old address?”
She pulls the governing provision, the Supreme Court cases on service of the statutory notice, and the exceptions courts have carved out. Then she applies them to your facts and flags the one judgment that goes against you. Twenty minutes of reading, delivered in two, with the cites to check each step.
By hand vs with Miss Lucy
It replaces the hours you lose switching between databases and the open web, and the re-checking that follows.
| The task | By hand | With Miss Lucy |
|---|---|---|
| Find the leading authority on a point | Keyword-hunt across Manupatra and SCC Online, read past the results that don’t apply | The rule, with the leading cases behind it |
| Check whether a precedent still holds | Trace later treatment by hand | She tells you what later benches did with it |
| Trust the citations | Re-check every cite by hand | Citations checked on the documents she delivers |
| Keep the thread across a long matter | Re-explain context each time | She remembers the matter and builds on it |
What she won’t do
- She shows her sources so you can check them. What to file is still your call.
- She will not invent a citation to fill a gap. If the authority isn't there, she says so, and fabricated reporter cites are blocked.
- Research is the input to your judgment, not a replacement for it. The signature on the filing is yours.
